B-054 Potential of Autotaxin in the Early Diagnosis of Sinusoidal Obstruction Syndrome after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

چکیده
Abstract Background Sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS) is a life-threatening complication after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT). Early intervention leads to good prognosis, but it often difficult differentiate SOS from other hepatobiliary complications. Liver biopsy the gold standard for diagnosing SOS, perform invasive testing early in transplant process, and no specific biomarker has been established. Autotaxin (ATX) useful as liver fibrosis marker, serum levels of which are elevated by metabolic inhibition sinusoidal endothelial cells. Considering pathophysiology begins with injury cells, ATX may be onset SOS. Methods A retrospective study was conducted 247 patients who had received allo-HCT, including 11 developed met EBMT criteria (male, 7; female, 4). Of 9 pathologically proven The median time allo-HCT diagnosis 31 days (range, 8–141 [male], 16–31 [female]). This cohort included 39 complications without (total bilirubin > 2 mg/dL; male, 23; 16). J.m., a 43-year-old man with acute myelogenous leukemia with a monosomy 7 cytogenetic abnormality, received an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HscT) from his human leukocyte antigen– matched brother. Past treatments included idarubicin and cytarabine induction therapy followed by a cycle of high-dose cytarabine. J.m. was in complete remission prior to the HscT. The condition...

Sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS) (formerly known as hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD)) is a life-threatening complication subsequent to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. However, no completely satisfactory strategies for the treatment of SOS have been established yet. Defibrotide is a single-stranded polydeoxyribonucleotide with anti-thrombotic, anti-ischemic, anti-inflammatory a...

Hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD), increasingly referred to as sinusoidal obstruction syndrome, is a well-recognized complication of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and contributes to considerable morbidity and mortality. In the Western Hemisphere, VOD, classified as a conditioning-related toxicity, is most commonly caused by stem cell transplantation. VOD has been described after al...
متن کاملFactors influencing B lymphopoiesis after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation.
In 93 allograft recipients, the numbers of marrow B-cell precursors on days 80 and 365 correlated with the counts of circulating B cells, suggesting that the posttransplantation B-cell deficiency is at least in part due to insufficient B lymphopoiesis. Factors that could affect B lymphopoiesis were evaluated. The number of marrow B-cell precursors on days 30 and 80 was at least 4-fold lower in ...
